What We Measure

This test isn't about who's the fittest — it's about how your body handles the race.

During HYROX, you don't fail because you're weak. You fail because your body builds up more fatigue than it can clear between stations.

Our performance test measures exactly that.

We test:

  • How much lactate you produce during each station
  • How quickly you clear it on the following run
  • Which stations hit you the hardest
  • How close you are to your ideal race intensity

The pattern tells us:

  • Whether your pace is sustainable
  • How well your body recovers between stations
  • Which movements cause the biggest metabolic spikes

How It Works

You'll run 1 km at your ideal race pace (from your Race Pace Test). Then you'll complete a HYROX station at a strong, race-style effort. We take a small blood sample after the station — and again during the next run — to track how your body responds.

This repeats across several stations to build your individual performance map.

The pattern tells us:

  • Whether your pace is sustainable
  • How well your body recovers between stations
  • Which movements cause the biggest metabolic spikes

What Good Looks Like

A great result doesn't mean "low lactate." It means your lactate rises and falls in waves — up after a station, down on the runs — showing that your system can handle the workload.

  • If your lactate keeps climbing, you're going too hard too soon
  • If one station sends it through the roof, that's your limiter
